OPENING JOB POSITION:
Office Assistant & Medical Assistant
Our offices seek the best caregivers and support staff! We are continually growing and accepting applications for office assistant and medical assistant. The office assistant is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of two clinics in one location. Candidates should demonstrate superior customer service skills, excellent organizational abilities and the ability to perform well in stressful and fast paced situations. Our positions benefit from a knowledge of healthcare systems operations, however experience is not mandatory and exceptional candidates can be trained. Medical coding and billing is a plus. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our
medical facilities.
As Birmingham Wellness office assistant (office liaison/runner between two wellness clinics):
Greystone Chiropractic and Element Wellness Center), you must be able to problem solve efficiently, work independently, and show initiative towards tasks.
● Help with billing, coding, collections, and interaction with insurance companies, vendors, and clients.
● Patient evaluation and management
● Order medical and office supplies
● Arrange cleaning staff and emergency maintenance services as necessary
● Provide informative material for patients
● Ensures that customer service standards are met
● Collaborates with providers, support staff, and assistants
● Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
● Coordinate with IT personnel on all computer/network equipment
● Works with owner and providers to set goals, objectives, and budgets
● Use popular software for electronic medical records (EMR), billing, scheduling, and ordering prescriptions/supplies
Other duties may be added or amended as needs arise and business changes. Monthly and/or quarterly reviews with the owner will be implemented to ensure adequate performance, and goals are met.

Expected hours: 35 per week
Schedule:
Monday 7:30-7:15 (1-2:30 lunch)
Tuesday 8 am - 1 pm or as needed
Wednesday, 7:30 am - 6:15 pm (lunch 1-2:30 pm)
Thursday 7:15 am - 6:15 pm (lunch 1-2:30 pm)
